To establish a tangible national symbol of gratitude, as a visible
public reminder to all Americans, that perpetually recognizes all
military lives lost in defense of our national freedoms.

In the more than 200 years of our nation's history there has never been
an officially recognized symbol that reminds us daily of the sacrifices made by
members of our military and the lives lost in service to our country.
We propose the Honor and Remember Flag as a national emblem for that purpose.

Hello from Cleveland, Ohio! Exciting things are happening with the Honor and Remember Across America campaign. This is the first dispatch from the road that I've been able to put together, but there will be weekly updates from here until I return home in November.
Where to start! How about with our terrific welcome in Cleveland? I am on my way to the Cleveland Indians baseball stadium for Honor and Remember Night with a motorcycle escort courtesy of Rolling Thunder. This is just one of dozens of special moments that I've had in the first 30 days of our national effort to raise awareness about the Honor and Remember Flag.
This update will be a little longer than the ones to follow so that I can catch you up on all of the exciting news so far.

Sons of the American Revolution just
concluded thier 120th National Congress in Cleveland, Ohio, and A resolution
urging SAR support of the Honor and Remember Flag, proposed by the Norfolk
Chapter and endorsed by the VASSAR Executive Committee, was approve unanimously
by the Delegates.
